Entrepreneurship is rarely a straight path. It demands persistence, vision, and a willingness to embrace challenges. For Bill Clinebell, founder of Relofant, building a successful project management company in Tampa, Florida, has been a journey guided by both skill and faith. On the latest episode of Real Talk, Bill shared his story of entrepreneurship, the lessons learned from failure and triumph, and how his unshakable relationship with God informs the way he leads both his business and his life.
From Early Hustle to Entrepreneurial Vision
Bill’s entrepreneurial spirit showed up early. At just five years old, he began delivering newspapers and collecting payments from neighbors. By high school, he was managing 85 lawns, learning the value of hard work and dedication. Over the years, he experimented with various business ventures—from bartending to pressure washing—and while not all were successful, each provided lessons that shaped his approach to leadership.
“I knew I was an entrepreneur and wanted to run my own company early on,” Bill explained. His first significant opportunity came in 2013 when he acquired a franchise called Relocation Strategies. Although the venture didn’t unfold exactly as expected, Bill leveraged the experience to rebrand the company as Relofant, focusing on project management services for commercial real estate projects.
Relofant manages complex projects, from office relocations to industrial expansions, overseeing every aspect of construction, design, technology, and setup. Bill’s expertise lies in coordinating multiple teams—architects, engineers, interior designers, and contractors—to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and successfully. “That coordination is the value we deliver,” he said. “Bringing everyone together and keeping them aligned is what makes the difference.”
Faith as the Foundation of Leadership
For Bill, entrepreneurship isn’t just about business strategy; it’s a spiritual journey. Returning to his faith in 2011 and 2012, he began seeking guidance daily. “I get to meet God in my living room every morning at four o’clock,” he shared. “I open my Bible, I pray, I listen—and sometimes the listening is the hardest part.”
This faith informs not only his decisions but also how he leads his team. Bill strives to integrate God’s principles into his workplace without being overbearing. He prays for his team, encourages scripture, and models integrity and diligence in every project. “I try to be a light in the workplace,” he said. “Even when things are challenging, I want people to see authenticity, faith, and perseverance in action.”
Bill acknowledges that balancing faith, leadership, and business responsibilities is not always easy. The pressures of profitability and team well-being can weigh heavily, but his solution is rooted in trust: trusting God while remaining diligent in action. “Rest isn’t inactivity,” he said. “It’s a mindset and a heart posture of trust. You keep moving forward while trusting God to take care of what’s beyond your control.”
Building Success with Integrity and Persistence
Bill’s story emphasizes that true entrepreneurial success combines skill, persistence, and ethical leadership. He encourages other business owners to cultivate faith alongside ambition. “Surround yourself with like-minded believers,” he advised. “Pray, read scripture, and let your faith guide your business decisions.”
He also stresses the importance of community and mentorship. Early in his entrepreneurial journey, God introduced him to mentors who offered guidance and support. Today, he fosters similar networks through quarterly meetings and faith-based business groups. These connections, combined with his relentless pursuit of excellence, have helped him build a company known for respect, diligence, and customer-focused results.
Ultimately, Bill’s journey shows that entrepreneurship is about more than profit—it’s about planting seeds, building relationships, and leading with integrity. Relofant isn’t just a project management company; it’s a reflection of Bill’s vision to serve others, honor God, and create lasting impact.
